Foundations primary function is to protect and create a smooth even canvas that minimizes imperfections while enhancing the skin's natural beauty.  It is the base from which all other makeup is applied, and a proper color match is essential.

 

When matched properly it should be undetectable by the person wearing it.  It should be absorbed and not feel like a mask sitting on the skin, it should appear naked and invisible to the eye.

Foundation should be multifunctional addressing concerns and needs such as: coverage, oil control, hydration, luminescent or matte finish, sunscreen - broad spectrum UVB and UVA protection, firming ingredients, and anti-aging botanicals.
